ABOUT THE SUMMIT
The Girls Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) is an annual tech-entrepreneurship event for girls in secondary and high school in Tanzania to connect, learn and build innovations and solutions for community problems as well as compete for prizes.
The GES 2019 Taking place in Dar es Salaam Tanzania, it will gather together 200 young women from Tanzania, DRC and Kenya who will participate in a 2 day intensive, non residential business support program and spend 2 months with trainers learning and working to solve community problems and develop tech driven businesses towards the competition.
Training
Selected participants create teams in their respective schools, teams got matched with mentors and spend four months of training and developing tech-driven businesses.
Prototype
Teams work with their technical and business mentors and experts in building prototypes for their tech-driven business ideas.
Pitching
Girls engage in round table discussions with experts, female business leaders, listen to inspiring speeches and participate in the final pitch.
